HE and Progression Fair

HE & Progression Fair 2014

09 October

Students and their parents enjoyed the second annual Newcastle Sixth Form College HE & Progression Fair on Wednesday 1 October.

With a total of 19 universities and businesses involved, the event, organised by David Coe Transition and Progression Co-ordinator, continues to grow.

Students attended a variety of morning career and course specific talks and workshops, with the Fair taking place in the afternoon.

Matthew Carter, currently in his A2 year at Newcastle Form College, said:

“It’s great to have so many universities here under one roof – it makes it easier to gather lots of different information at once.”

Dr Philip McGowan, Director of Education for the School of English at Queen's University Belfast, also confirmed that they will be back next year:

"The event has been great for us, we weren't expecting so many students! It's great to see so many already planning their future and engaging with universities. It's definitely a good use of our time."
